DTN COMMENTS:  All remains quiet in cattle feeding country at midday. 
Bids and asking prices have not been renewed at this time. Over the past 
three days, some light trade was reported in most areas. Northern dressed 
business has had a range of $370 to $385, mostly $377 to $380, $12 to $15 
lower than last week's weighted averages. Southern live deals have been 
marked at mostly $237 to $238, $10 to $11 lower than last week's weighted 
average. While it looks like the bulk of business has essentially been 
completed for the week, a little cleanup here and there is not out of the 
question. 

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 368.69 +0.31, select 356.35 
+0.66) with light to moderate box movement (40.23 lds of choice cuts, 
6.39 lds of select cuts, 9.73 lds of trim, and 17.97 lds of ground), with 
a choice/select spread of 12.34. Cattle futures are sharply lower on both 
live and feeder contracts at this time.
